Day 8 - April 15, 2007

I did not sleep because of my migraine. I was up most of the night. It rained overnight and into the morning, so I didn't get up till after 8. This is a bad keyboard. I liked the keyboard I was using previously. It´s like the one in Punta Cana.

I went and got the clothes out of the dryer and took my time getting ready.

When I arrived, Jorge and Gerardo were getting ready for a lot of departures and arrivals. Gerardo always remembers me. I chatted with Annemarie and then she told Luis that I was there. Luis has been so busy and tired with the fire at the Mikado, but it's open again. He gave me some excellent ideas for learning Spanish, which I will use. He was also very busy, so I went to the Whirlpool area to read People en español. It was very nice there until some people formed their chairs in a circle around me and started talking when they could see that I was reading. I decided to change and go to the lobby and the waitress kept speaking to me in Spanish. I did pretty well talking to her. I watched the Beer Drinking contest that Bow Wow organized. Then, I showered again and got ready for dinner. I had a little issue with my dress. My bra was higher than the cut of my dress because it was baby doll style with a scoop neck. I couldn't walk around with my bra sticking out, so I had to go without. My boobs have also headed south of the border, so I was a little paranoid about that. Annemarie and I went to the Kukulkan buffet for dinner.

Believe it or not, I got rid of a bug that was on a brochure because Annemarie likes bugs less than I do.

As Katie would say, my "food baby" is getting pretty big. I think I'm eating too many carbs and the food at the Bahia is killing me too. I had the most delicious vegetables in butter sauce. I haven't had that in a long time and I loved them...zucchini, carrots, corn, peas, etc. Of coursed, I also had the coconut ice cream and the cookies that are near the ice cream. Yumm-o!
