Best Small Hotels In Playa Del Carmen

My favorite small hotels that are not all-inclusive include:

1. Hotel Kinbe
2. Hotel Lunata (on 5th Avenue)
3. Mimi Del Mar (on the beach)
4. Hotel Posada Mariposa
5. Hotel Jungla-Caribe (on 5th Avenue) and Paolo is so nice. He´s from Northern Italy
6. Hotel Costa Del Mar (this one is very rustic and cute while right on the beach, but for the rate or $85/night, I would probably go all-inclusive)
7. Tropical Casablanca
8. Acanto Suites

Honorable mention goes to:

1. Hotel Eclipse - (It's authentic Mexican style with a cute rooftop terrace...a real one!) Matias is so nice also.

Hotel Siesta Fiesta always has a live band every night. It´s very fun and one night it was a Christian band. If there aren´t any chairs, you can have a Latte´at the Sasta Cafe´ across the street and listen. The Latte´s are huge! Not sure if I'd want to stay here as the noise can keep you up, but it's in the center of town and it's a lot of fun.
