Well, almost!...On the day before it would have been two weeks, I caved in and had a Chai Latte because I was cold and not feeling well. Also, the fact that I didn't lose any weight eliminating them from my diet didn't help the matter. Why suffer for nothing?!!!
I won't get them every day anymore, but I will on occasion.

FAM Trip
I'm heading to the Barcelo in Huatulco on July 2nd (kind of odd how I'm ending up at the Barcelo after my experience at the Barcelo in Punta Cana) and am hoping that I can speak some Spanish while I'm there. I heard that a lot of people speak English there though (more so than in other parts of Mexico).
This will be my first FAM trip. We were supposed to go to the Melia Azul, Ixtapa, but our flight was cancelled and now we're going to the Barcelo, Huatulco.

Mi Primer Libro de Palabras en Español
Mary Clare lent me her book with this title and it's like a child's picture book. It's really good because you can visualize the picture while saying the word. She has one in French too, but I told her one language at a time! LOL I didn't think it would be this hard.

IH Riviera Maya Made Me an Offer I Had to Refuse
When I returned home from my Spanish Immersion, I e-mailed the IH Riviera Maya contact in Spain who I was communicating with prior to my trip. I wanted to let her know why I did not attend my 2nd week of school.
She wrote back to offer me a free week of Spanish lessons in Barcelona, Spain. LOL It was nice that she offered, but my airfare alone would be astronomical.
Besides, the last time that I was in Barcelona, Spain, the taxi driver (taxista)kicked my mother and I out of his taxi. LOL....We'll never forget that experience! They aren't too fond of Americans there.

Un fin de semana español
I spent a good part of this weekend practicing my Spanish. I worked on my numbers and also the seven question words.
1. Como (How)
2. Cuanto (How Much)
3. Donde (Where)
4. Que (What)
5. Quien (Who)
6. Por Que (Why)
7. Cuando (When)
I also picked up another quick-reference card to help me. I do still need all the help that I can get.
I need to pick up my pace because apparently I'm in the wrong line of business....I inquired about taking additional classes in Chicagoland, and they were only $2,500 for 30 sessions! I think I need to become proficient so that I can become a Teacher!

Everyone Must be Staring at My Bunions!
Okay, I went to have my neuroma looked at today and the doctor had a difficult time getting past my bunions. Everyone must think I'm a freak if the doctor couldn't even discuss my neuroma because all he could think about were my bunions!!! He insists that the neuoroma is caused from the bunions.
He gave me a cortisone shot in my foot and I have to go back for a follow-up in three weeks. If that does the trick, he'll give me another. Otherwise, we will look at alternative treatments.

Foot Update
I went to Foot Source, which is a specialty shoe store to see if I could get something to help my foot, but the salesman wouldn't sell me cushions or shoes. He said that I must get to a foot doctor or I will end up going to a foot surgeon. My neuroma must be bad if he didn't even try to sell me anything. LOL
I made an appointment for Monday, May 14. We'll see what happens.
Here's a link to my condition:

Spanish Learning Continued
CDs
I listened to the CDs that help you learn Spanish while driving to/from work today. They make more sense since I attended classed in PDC. I think if I play them over and over, it might sink in eventually.
Aunt Char said that she has some others she will lend me also.
Restaurant Practice
After my hair appointment, traffic was so heavy, so I stopped to get a salad at the California Pizza Kitchen. They were not very busy and the waiters were chatting to each other in Spanish, so I was trying to listen. I think my waiter noticed and he came over to ask if everything was "okay." Then, I told him why I was trying to listen and I practiced a little Spanish with him. He told me that he was probably talking too quickly for me to understand.
More Learning Tools
At Wal-Mart I picked up some very cool pre-printed Post-It Notes with popular Spanish words to help me practice my Spanish. One package is Bilingual Notes to teach 50 beginning Spanish and English words and the other is Spanish Vocabulary Notes to teach 75 beginning Spanish words. (They look really good posted on all of the objects in the house. LOL) While I was there, I must have lost my wood-bead necklace with a cross on it that I just bought in Mexico. It was only $1.00, but I'm sort of sad about that. I called them, but they said they didn't find it. That was the only place where I tried something on, so I figured that had to be where I lost it.
Playa Lingua Book and Notes
I took out my school documents and reviewed them and practiced them. I don't wnt to lose the information that I learned.

Spanish Radio
I listened to the Spanish radio station on my way to work today because I really need to listen to people speaking in Spanish.
Food Baby Update
Hurray! I lost the 4 lbs. that I gained in Mexico, but the food baby is still there. I think I need to start using heavier weights.
Plus, Mandy and I have decided to eliminate Starbucks from our diet for the next two weeks as a test to see if we lose weight by not indulging (even though I order Leche Light and only uno pump of Chai).

Maria e-mailed me today because she received the Law of Attraction documents that she asked me to send her.
