Omar, my waiter from Rolandi's, e-mailed me today because he didn't get to say goodbye to me before I left. That was very nice of him.

I'm sure that I will see him again when I return.

Español Learning Materials

I went to Borders and purchased some additional materials to help me with my Spanish.

I purchased the "University of Chicago Spanish-English/English-Spanish Dictionary", which is the same book that I borrowed from Playa Lingua.

Additionally, I purchased:

1. "Berlitz Essential Spanish," which is a self-study course to develop your Spanish skills quickly and easily.
2. "Spanish Picture Word Book," to learn over 500 common Spanish words though pictures.
3. "Spanish in 10 Minutes a Day," which is a complete language learning kit!

I think that these books will be good learning tools.

The Traveling Pants

Well, they are jean shorts, actually, and I gave them to Mandy today. I hope they bring her good luck like the "Traveling Pants" in the book series. She'll have to wear them when she goes to Mexico with Brian.

Laundry

I finally did my first batch of laundry tonight. (I left my suitcases in the garage for a while to make sure that I didn't bring any cockroaches home with me.) Fortunately, I do not have as many things that need to be dry cleaned. It's pretty pathetic when the dry cleaner looks forward to your vacations.
