What I Learned In Huatulco

I met some wonderful people and they also helped me with my Spanish.

I did rather well reading the signs. Carlos and I would review them while driving. I tried to speak at least a little (un pocito) whenever I could.

Alejandra gave me some idiomas to practice and Marci would review all of the food items on the buffet with me. When I was in Playa Del Carmen for my classes, they would make fun of me because I am better at food/restaurant-related words than anything else.

Marci e-mailed me today and she sent me a link to Badoo.com. I thought it was a communication tool, but it looks like an online dating service. I signed up. LOL, but I can't figure it out. At least I only put in the registration information and nothing else. That's all I could understand.

Some fun new words that I learned were tortuga (turtle), cocodrillo (crocoldile) and quieto (quiet) and I also learned why they say "Bueno" when they answer the phone.

And, even though I didn't eat a roasted grasshopper while I was in Huatulco (which is supposed to ensure that you will return one day) I am sure that I will return anyhow.
