Huatulco means “the place where wood is adored." Huatulco is famous for it's 9 bays and 36 beaches. It's located off the Pacific Coast in the state of Oaxaca. It's about 270 miles (or 430 km) southeast of Acapulco. It has 42,000 acres of land listed for protection and ecological preservation.

It's very hot and humid in Huatulco year-round.
