We had a bad storm before we left and our power went out. Wasn't sure that we were going to get out on time, but we did.
It's a small world....met another Travel Agent from New Lenox on the airplane.
Got to the resort a little before 1:00 p.m. and our Butler, Jerome began giving us the grand tour when it started raining. He got and umbrella for us, but then it started pouring, so he got another umbrella. We were cold, so decided to eat lunch before finishing the tour.
It's all about the food!....What can I say? Our first meal at The Globe restaurant was incredible and we already gained 4 lbs. Not sure if we'll ever be able to wear these bathing suits again.
Jerome met us after lunch to show us to our room, which is in Villa 5. It's a great room with an outdoor jacuzzi tub and a view of the ocean....bright blue!
I've had a ton of allergic reactions today, starting with the man at the airport who O.D.'d on his cologne. Even Gina was dying. I think I'm staying away from mango-flavored drinks too. I even chose a bread that I thought was whole-grain, but it had peanuts in it!
I've had about 5 different drinks and can hardly hold my head up between the alcohol and the 2 hours of sleep that I got.
It started to rain again around 5:00 p.m., so we went to the room to try out our new pillows (Gina has the Dream pillow and I have Health). We loved the rain shower head in our tiled bathroom. Can you believe I forgot my toothbrush? Not to worry, the evening Butler got me one.
Mandy, I can spend your $50 all in one place! If you would like a bar of soap as a souvenir from Azul Blue, that's the price! I told Gina it had to be pesos or a mistake, but it's not. The size is 1 kg! Hilarious!
This place is magnificent! We've met very fun people. One lady met her husband on Match.com.
Went to dinner at the Yuzu Asian restaurant tonight. It was a leisurely dinner and my allergies were going crazy, but the meal was very good.
Tonight is "Casino Night." They literally had 3 tables...Blackjack, Roulette and Craps. LOL Other than that, there is no evening entertainment and NO PEOPLE!We don't know where everyone went as they were not all honeymooners. We checked out the movie "Click" and started to watch it, but we both fell asleep.
